YOU THINK YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A RACER?
The Barberton Karting Association would like to invite you out to take a "Test Drive" in one of our race karts. Kart racing is exciting family fun but also is one of the most affordable ways to go racing.
Weather you're an adult wanting to try racing or maybe you have a son or daughter that would like to race. We will provide you with the proper safety equipment and a fully prepared racing kart. Test drive karts available are kid karts, road coarse karts and oval course karts. You can choose which is best for you and you will be given instruction by one of our experienced racers.
We will first show you around our great facility and explain a little about our series. We will walk with you on the track to explain the layout and direction or the racing. Your first on track session will have you following one of our racers until you are familiar with the track and then in the second session, we will turn you loose to experience the thrill of kart racing for yourself.
TEST DRIVE REQUIREMENTS
You must be age five or older. You must be wearing jeans, (long pants) laced up shoes and socks. No opened toe shoes allowed.
You must be in good physical health. No one under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be permitted to drive. If you are on any medication that may display side effects that would impair your ability to safely participate you will not be permitted to drive. Women that are pregnant are not permitted to drive.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The cost for each Test Drive is $35.00 per driver. Everyone entering the pits must sign a Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement. Any person entering the pits under the age 18 must also have the Parental Consent Form filled out completely by both parents.
WHAT IS THE B.K.A.?
The Barberton Karting Associations is an organization that provides a kart racing series at Barberton Speedway. The 22 race series runs on Sundays from April through September.
There are currently 14 different racing classes. so we are sure you will find one that is right for you. We offer both two cycle and four cycle classes and your choice is Oval or Road course layout. Classes are determined by the type of kart and engines as well as by the driver age.
The BKA offers a practice session each Saturday before a Sunday race. Practices are from 9am until 12pm and the cost is $15.00 per driver. Pit crews are free on practice days.

*On race day everyone must wear a wrist band (pit pass) at all times while in the pit area.
